I have always loved to write even as a child. I have to say with out a doubt my favorite class was always creative writing in school. It seemed to be the only subject that I was truly good at. I wrote my first romance at the age of eighteen while sick with the flu in my bedroom. I had no idea what that little story would do to me so many years later when it resurfaced while cleaning out my bedroom to move into my new home with my husband. WOW! I remeber sitting on the floor of my old room and reading it, and having this nagging feeling clawing at the back of my mind. It seemed like months had passed with the same anticipation of writing again hanging over me. I was working as a nurse tech in a nursing home at the time, and had little time to write, for I was always working and taking care of others. I didn't mind my job at the home; on the contrary, I loved it! I also love to write. So it wasn't untill 2004, until I was able to write. I had come down with an illness, and was unable to return back to work at the home. So I immediately took up pen and paper, and started to write as fast as I could. My thoughts were racing so that my fingers couln't keep up. I was so astounded at the speed and the imagination of the whole process. It took several drafts and many long nights before I finally had produced Sapphire Dreams.
Sapphire Dreams is book one in a series of Irish Fantasy Romance novels. At the time I had no idea that it would be more than one book. But my mind was off on another adventure, hence book two, and three. The pure exhilaration of having finished a novel was so overwhelmingly magnificent! Throughout the months since its release in April 2007, I have meant many great authors, and have enjoyed many book signing events. To date I have made over twenty appearance's, and have been in a number of papers like the Flint Journal and the Independent, not to mention a number of radio stations both in Michigan and Alabama as well as T.V. stations like ABC.
I would like to say thank you to all the people who have bought Sapphire Dreams, and that I hope you enjoy book two ( Ruby Nights ), and book three ( Emerald Dawn ). I have been very blessed to have had such a success with the first of the series of books, and doubly blessed to have meant so many great authors on my journey through the literary world. Thank you for your support.
